REVIEW: Seduce by Felicity Heaton

Seduce (Vampire Erotic Theatre Series #3)
by Felicity Heaton

4.5 HEARTS

Book Blurb

Bloodlust runs in his veins, a dark master waiting for the day it will reign over him. Now a woman with a pure soul and wicked intentions has him in her sights and is determined to crack the ice around his heart, and she might save or damn him.

Antoine stands apart from the world around him, a dangerous and broken soul who must maintain rigid control at all times or risk his dark addiction finally seizing hold of him. The shadows of his past haunt him and he sees his bleak future each night when his brother wakes screaming, his blood addiction turning him savage. He cannot allow himself to feel, but when Sera walks into Vampirerotique, the erotic theatre he runs with three other vampires, to audition, she awakens dangerous desires in him--hungers that could spell the end of both of them.

Sera has wanted Antoine since the night she first saw the gorgeous aristocrat vampire. She can't ignore the deep carnal hunger he stirs in her or the ache to know the heat of his touch. With the help of her sire, an ex-performer at Vampirerotique, she sets in motion a game of seduction, one designed to thaw the ice in Antoine's veins and make him burn for her.

Ok I'm going to just go ahead and say that BEFORE I read Seduce Antoine just didn't do it for me. The frigid Aristocratic stick in the mud was nothing more to me than Snow's glorified babysitter. And yes, before you all throw things at my head I know that taking care of his brother is a full-time job that is done out of love. But beyond that it wasn't like I wasn't pacing the floorboards pining for Antoine's book to come out. Once I finished reading it the realization hit me that I should have been.

Elite vampire Sera comes to Vampirerotique time and time again with her sire, Elizabeth, one of the theatre's former performers. But she doesn't come for the entertainment. While the crowd focuses on the erotic acts on stage Sera can only focus on Antoine. Despite warnings from her sire about him she is enthralled with the Aristocratic vampire and only wants him more each time she lays eyes upon him. But Antoine never pays her any mind and wants nothing to do with elite vampires and for a good reason. A reason I'm not telling because that would ruin the book for you!

So Sera takes matters into her own hands and with the help of Elizabeth arranges an interview to be one of the performers at Vampirerotique to get an audience with Antoine. The interview is the bait and Sera only wants to get Antoine alone in hopes of seducing him. But she gets more than she bargains for when Antoine shows up with Victor, one of the theatre's performers, and her bluff is called and she is forced to audition instead.

Hmmm, have I intrigued you yet? I'm going to drop the play by play here because I don't want to spoil things for those who haven't read it yet. And if you haven't you need to!

Sera is the perfect match for Antoine. This sexy little vixen knew that she wanted this man and would go to any lengths to get him, even if it meant going out of her comfort zone to do it. I give her a lot of credit because Antoine carries more than enough baggage between battling his bloodlust and ghosts from the past that even have a way of showing up right on his doorstep. When you finally hear Antoine's full story you will realize that he more than deserved this strong woman who fought for his love.

Another reason I'm loving Seduce is that we finally get a glimpse into the story behind why Antoine takes so much care with Snow and why their brotherly bond is so strong. And get ready because your heart will break for both of them.

Introduced into the storyline are two new smexy vampires, Andreu who is Javier's younger brother, and Payne, a male from a family that is a close acquaintance of Callum's. And you know what that means, we are still going to be waiting on Snow's book. *sigh* But the next book, Enslave, is Andreu's book and I think this might be my favorite so far! Stop back because my review for that will be up August 4th. Seduce is part of a must read series for anyone who loves smoldering hot vampires in a truly unique storyline.
