I have to read a series in order! I hate when I accidently read a series out of order, if I buy a book and realise it's not the first in the series I put it aside till I get the previous books first!

I have to read them in order, I hate coming in half way through when all the characters are established, I like meeting them as I go through & growing to love them as they develope. :-)

Under most circumstances, I have to read a series in order, but I cannot say always because in the Vampire Realm series I have already read book nine without reading the others. And I have 2 other books in that series in my TBR pile that are in the middle of the series. LOL

I prefer to read a series in order, but if I come across a book later in a series I haven't read, I'll read it and if I like it do the rest of the series in order. I found the third book in a series on a Princess cruise ship, liked it and got the other 4 when I got home.

I have to read a series in order. If I happen to accidently read a book out of order, I go back & buy the first book to fix the mistake.

While I would prefer to read a series in order, it isn't always possible and many times, I'm actually introduced to a series because of one of the later books. So then of course, I go find the rest and start reading them from the beginning

Yes I def like to read my series in order. I feel that you get the best out of the series that way. When I read a book not realizing its part of a series I always go out and buy the series after lol
